A typical product of French culture.

What do I have my cheese with? The very same answer comes to mind, a baguette.

I have lived in the UK for 25 years and it has often been hard to find a good one, when I think real baguette, I think crispiness, crunch and a good, airy dough. Even if some UK supermarkets have raised their game in recent years, I am afraid they rarely live to my expectations.

There are many small bakers in the UK who craft a fantastic baguette and this page is for them.

I must have told hundreds of people how good the baguette from the first baker on this list was.

I am happy to do the same thing with her peers!

Who are these UK bakers whose baguette I would happily hold under my arm while nipping and munching on the quignon, the end bit, while on my way home?
